Program Objectives:
-To give students who want to improve their English writing a foundation of information
-To familiarize students with the writing process
-To contextualize English writing according to tasks and assignments
-To acquaint students with the diverse world of English composition, emphasizing popular trends and the instructor’s personal experiences
-To provide students with experience in the practical construction of essays with critical guidance from the instructor
-To provide students with the opportunity to investigate different writing styles that they are interested in, critique their writing, and articulate their issues and goals regarding English composition
-To solidify students’ English composition goals and discuss further steps
Desired Learning Expectations:
-Students will build a foundation of knowledge about the writing process
-Students will learn successful writing strategies
-Students will apply successful writing strategies to their own assignments
-Students will explore the many possibilities of how to further improve their English writing skills
