🌿 Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) Care – Toronto Indoor Conditions
Light
Prefers bright, indirect light.
Avoid intense direct sunlight (especially south-facing windows), which can scorch the leaves.
Grows well near east or west windows; can tolerate north-facing windows but may bloom less.
Watering
Keep soil slightly moist but never soggy.
In winter, water less often—let the top 1 cm of soil dry before watering again.
In summer, water more frequently.
Use filtered, distilled, or tap water left out overnight (Peace Lilies are sensitive to hard water and chlorine).
Humidity
Toronto’s winter air is very dry, which can cause brown tips.
Increase humidity with a humidifier, a water/pebble tray, or by placing the plant pot in a container with water at the bottom, and the water level doesn’t touch the bottom of the plant pot.
Temperature
Ideal: 18–26°C (65–80°F).
Keep away from heating vents, cold drafts, or open windows in winter.
Fertilizer
During spring and summer, feed once a month with a diluted all-purpose liquid fertilizer.
Reduce or stop feeding in fall and winter.
Repotting
Peace Lilies like slightly crowded roots. Repot every 2 years or so using well-draining potting mix.
Common Issues
Brown/yellow tips: dry air or hard water.
Drooping leaves: usually underwatering; water thoroughly and it will recover quickly.
No flowers: not enough light or nutrients.

💧 浇水

多伦多冬天供暖时湿度常低于 30%，白掌容易叶尖干枯。
可用加湿器、在花盆旁放一盘清水，或将花盆放在装有卵石和水的托盘上，或将花盆放到一个底部有水的外盆上，底部的水不要接触花盆，用这些方法增加局部湿度。

理想温度：18–26℃。
冬天注意避免靠近暖气出风口或冷风直吹的窗户。
🌱 施肥
生长期（春夏）每月施一次稀薄的 通用型液体肥。
秋冬休眠期可减少或停止施肥。
🪴 换盆
白掌根系喜欢稍微拥挤的环境，不必频繁换盆。一般 2年左右换一次盆 即可。
换盆时用 排水良好的通用型盆栽土。
⚠️ 常见问题
叶尖发黄或发黑：通常是空气太干，或水质太硬。
叶片蔫垂：大多是缺水，及时浇透即可恢复（白掌对缺水很敏感，但也容易恢复）。
不开花：可能是光照不足或施肥不足。
